چکیده سلامت و رفاه مردم یک شهر، شاخص مهمی برای نشان دادن میزان موفقیت سیاستگذاری دولتی در ارتقاء زیست شهری است. هدف اصلی این مقاله عبارت است از تحلیل و بررسی نقش سیاستگذاری دولتی در ارتقاء زیست شهری با تأکید بر سلامت و بهداشتدر منطقه 15 شهر تهران است. سؤال اصلی مقاله این است که سیاستگذاری دولتی چه نقشی در ارتقاء زیست شهری با تأکید بر سلامت و بهداشت ایفا می کند؟ روش تحقیق مقاله توصیفی- تحلیلی و از نوع پیمایشی است و ابزار گردآوری اطلاعات پرسشنامه است که بر طبق تعداد نمونه و بر اساس مدل کوکران تعداد 400 پرسشنامه در محدوده مورد مطالعه توزیع گردیده است. تجزیه و تحلیل داده ها نیز بر اساس آزمون t تک نمونه‌ای مورد پردازش قرار گرفت. نتایج پژوهش حاضر نشان داد که سیاستگذاری دولتی در ایران به دلیل دولتی بودن همه حوزه‌ها نقش مهمی در ارتقاء و یا ضعف زیست شهری به ویژه در حوزه سلامت و بهداشت ایفا می کند و منطقه 15 شهر تهران به دلیل آن که چندان هدف سیاستگذاری های دولتی نبوده است از نظر بهداشتی و درمانی در وضعیت بحرانی قرار دارد و کمبود بیمارستان و مراکز درمانی سبب کاهش کیفیت بهداشت و سلامت در منطقه 15 شهر تهران شده است
