ملخص المقالة :
زخم قرنیه یکی از بیماریهای به نسبت شایع چشم است که در اثر ضربه، مواد شیمیایی و دخالت برخی عوامل ویروسی، باکتریایی و کلامیدیایی ممکن است رخ دهد. این مطالعه به منظور بررسی اثر اسید فولیک بر ترمیم زخم سوختگی قرینه روی 20 سر خرگوش سفید نیوزلندی نر بالغ در یک محدوده وزنی و سنی انجام شد.بدین منظور،بعد از بیهوشی کامل، زخم قرینه در چشم چپ هر یک از خرگوشها ایجاد شد و پس از ایجاد سوختگیبرای اطمینان از یکسان بودن زخمها (قطر 6 میلیمتر) رنگ آمیزی چشم با فلورسئین انجام شد. سپس خرگوشها به چهار گروه مساوی شامل سه گروه آزمایشی و یک گروه شاهد تقسیم شدند. در گروه های آزمایشی (اول تا سوم) اسید فولیک به ترتیب به مقدار 2، 5 و 10 میلیگرم به ازای هر کیلوگرم وزن بدن، روزانه و تا 21 روز بعد از جراحی گاواژ شد. در آسیبشناسی بافتی عروق زایی، میزان التهاب و ادم بستره قرینه در خرگوشهای تحت درمان با اسید فولیک در مقایسه با گروه شاهد به طور معنیداری کاهش نشان داد، اما لایههای بافت پوششی قرینه افزایش یافته بود (05/0>p ). همچنین استفاده از اسید فولیک به طور معنیداری موجب بهبود نظم طبیعی رشتههای کلاژن قرینه شد (05/0>p ). براساس نتایج بدست آمده به نظر میرسد که اسید فولیکاثرات مناسب و قابل قبولی بر روند ترمیم زخم قرینه خرگوش داشته باشد.
