The present research aimed at studying the relationship between the use of ICT skills with self-directed components in students’ learning processes in Islamic Azad University, Chalus Branch. Considering the nature and purpose, it was an applied research, but it was a descriptive correlational in terms of method. The statistical population included MA level students in the major of curriculum planning, financial management, law, Persian literature and political science in 2011-2012 academic year. Among them, 200 subjects were selected through random stratified method as the sample. A researcher-made questionnaire with a reliability index of 0/775 along with a standard one relating to self-directed learning were used for data collection. Pearson correlation and regression were used to analyze the collected data. The findings showed that self-directed variations in learning can be explained by ICT components. There was also a significant correlation between familiarity with soft-ware and interest in learning among students.
