Analyze the gap between users' expectations and perceptions of school student information systems (Case study: Managers and Executive deputies of elementary schools in Kermanshah)

Abstract :
The purpose of this study was to analyze the gap between expectations and perceptions of users of the student information system. The research is applied in terms of purpose, and in terms of data collection method, is descriptive-survey. The statistical population of the study consisted of the users (Managers and Executive deputies) of the elementary schools of Kermanshah city with 281 people. According to Morgan table, 162 of them were selected as sample. The questionnaire was used as a data gathering tool. Content validity of the questionnaire was confirmed by the professors. To verify the reliability of the questionnaire, the value of 0.78 for Cronbach's alpha indicates that the questionnaire is acceptable. The basis of the servqual model and the descriptive and inferential statistics techniques used in SPSS 20 software was used to calculate the mean and standard deviation of perceptions and expectations, normal distribution of data, a meaningful gap analysis, and descriptive statistics. Research findings suggest that there is a gap between users' expectations and perceptions. Therefore, the need to redesign the student system is felt based on user expectations.
