Persian-speaking poets in the Indian subcontinent, like those in Iran, have created valuable and rich literary works. One of these works that is replete with didactic teachings is the epic cycle Ramayana, by Mullah Masih Panipati. This cycle is one of the precious works of the eleventh century AH. It narrates the love story of Rama and Sita. This lyrical cycle is full of emotional and poetic images. For this reason, it can be categorized under lyrical cycles. In ancient history texts, Ramayana is introduced as one of the epic works of India. But having romantic themes and lack of epic elements in this work have caused to a remarkable extent that Ramayana of Mulla Masih to be excluded from the epic genre. In addition, didactic concepts and themes have a high frequency in this work.
