Assessment of spatial-physical and infrastructure segregation of Tehran metropolis with emphasis on crisis management approach

Abstract :
Introduction: Urban segregation is an important topic in many cities of the world, and since decades ago, most researchers have paid special attention to this issue. Urban segregation leads to the concentration of poverty, unfair allocation of resources, opportunities and urban facilities and ultimately leads to conflict and social crises at the level of a city. Research aim: the aim of the present research is to measure the spatial-physical and infrastructural segregation of Tehran metropolis. Methodology: The research method of this research is quantitative and its approach is descriptive-analytical. For this purpose, firstly, the amount of spatial-physical and infrastructural segregation was measured using the segregation analyzer software of the city of Tehran, and then the spatial structure of Tehran metropolis was analyzed based on the mentioned indicators. The results of this research showed that the distribution of physical-infrastructural indicators of Tehran city indicates low to high segregation among the 22 regions of this city. Studied Areas: The area under study was There are 22 districts of Tehran metropolis. Results: The results of the segregation spatial structure showed that the physical and infrastructural segregation spatial structure of the metropolis of Tehran has a trend toward concentration and in some indicators, the trend is towards the northern axis (comfort and convenience, access to the Internet and access to public parks) and axis There is the south (old building) of the city. Also, the results of the geographical weighted regression showed that the indicators of access to urban parks, access to the gas network, the index of comfort and safety have had the greatest impact on the spatial distribution of the population. Conclusion: Spatial distribution and segregation of physical-infrastructural indicators of Tehran metropolis has a trend towards concentration and the emergence of a cluster pattern, which can lead to a strong concentration of the mentioned indicators among the regions of Tehran in the coming years.
