Abstract :
Today, women are less likely to participate in sporting activities than men, and therefore have many health problems. Regarding the importance of the subject, the present study aims to investigate the role of social religiosity in the participation of women in sports activities using fieldwork, scrolling technique, questionnaire research tools, and the use of SPSS and AMOS software. The statistical population of the present study is all women aged 18 years and above Tehran, 600 of them using Cochran formula as sample size. The results of the research indicate that there is a significant difference between the total religiosity (P = 0.26) and its dimensions: belief in the dimension (P = 0.24), consequence dimension (P = 0.33), ritual dimension (0.31 = P) There is a positive and significant relationship between the experimental (P = 0.22) and the cognitive dimension (P = 0.28) with the participation of women in sports activities; therefore, all the research hypotheses are confirmed. The results of the structural equation model (AMOS) also showed that the total effect of independent variable religiosity on the participation of women in sports activities is 0.35.
