The relationship between social Factors and modernization in secondary school students of Shooshtar city

Abstract :
Abstract The purpose of this study was to investigate the social factors associated with the degree of modernization in high school girl students in Shoushtar. To do this, among the statistical population of 3158 people, 342 people were selected randomly and completed the research questionnaire. The main tool of collecting the research was a questionnaire with 58 items including general subscales, socioeconomic status, religious beliefs and the use of virtual media, whose validity and reliability were verified. Sampling was carried out in collaboration with Shoushtar School of Education through random sampling of schools. At presence of researcher in-house, questionnaires were distributed and completed after completion. Data obtained from the questionnaire were analyzed by Pearson correlation and stepwise regression using SPSS software at a significant level of 0.05. The results showed that there is a significant relationship between the socio-economic status of the family (P = 0.016), adherence to religious beliefs (P = 0.001) and ethnicity (P = 0/032) and students tendency to modernity. However, there was no significant relationship between the rate of media use (P = 0.151), and students tendency to modernity.
