Study of the library's peripheral services of cultural organization of Tehran Municipality

Abstract :
Purpose: The present study aims to investigate the audience’s view of the peripheral libraries and libraries of Tehran Municipality to determine its position in encouraging people to visit libraries. Methodology: The study was a survey. A questionnaire was used to collect data. The population of this study consisted of 386 members of the Tehran Municipal library patrons, employees, and managers. For data analysis, software SPSS 20 was used. Findings: Of the five programs examined, the cultural, artistic vision with the frequency of 33.1 was considered more important clients. Other programs such as welfare facilities with 23.1, with 21.9 curriculum, special programs identity with 17.8 and 4.1 of the members of the scientific program were followed. Conclusion: The results show that under the hypotheses of the proposed service level was low peripheral libraries Cultural Organization of Tehran Municipality and to encourage the habit of going to the library to study and had no effect.
