Abstract :
Masnavi-e Valadnāmeh, composed by Soltān Valad, is about mystical truths, Quranic commentary, ethical truths, fables, kennings as well as inner states of mystics like Molānā Jalāl Al-Din, Borhan Al-Din Mohagegh, Shamse Tabrizi and Salāh Al-Din Zarkoob. Valadnāmeh, containing up to 10000 verses, was composed by Soltān Valad in 690 A.D. Soltān Valad was Molānā Jalāl Al-Din’s eldest son, well familiarized with his father’s ways of teaching. Therefore, studing Valadnāmeh for better understanding and interpreting of Masnavi is necessary. The influence of Masnavi on Valadnameh is examined in this article.
