Abstract :

  According to Carl Gustav Jung, the archetypes appear in the collective unconscious through the symbols. The archetype of sun, symbol of power and beauty, has striking presence in Persian poetry. The present article, by studying the poems of Khāghanī and Nezāmī, tries to show that the archetype of sun is rooted in the collective unconscious of these poets.
