Considering the formation of the discourse of capturing the espionage den, which strengthened the discourse of the Islamic Revolution, this research aims to answer the following question: What were the reactions of the United States of America government to the discourse of capturing the espionage den? And what effect did this reaction have on the process of the Islamic revolution during the years 1979-1980?In this article, an attempt has been made to answer the questions by using the interpretation method and referring to library sources and other related documents. The findings show that after the preventive legitimate defense of the students who follow the line of the Imam, the American government has tried to solve the problem first by using diplomatic levers, and then different reactions such as economic sanctions on Iran, political isolation, military attack in the Tabas incident and has designed and implemented the Neqab coup. Overall, these reactions did not create any disturbance in the determination and will of the people and revolutionary leaders of Iran that was against imperialistic system of U.S and could not have a negative impact on the growing movement of the Islamic revolution.
