The Prediction of nomophobia based on emotional schemas in students

Abstract :
The aim of this study was to predict nomophobia based on emotional schemas among students. The research method was descriptive and correlational. The statistical population included all students of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences in the first semester of the academic year 1399-1400. The nomophobia questionnaires (NMP-Q) by Bildrim and Correa (2015) and the emotional schemas (LESS) by Leahy (2002) were virtually selected and then virtualized according to the condition of Covid 19 disease. Done. Accomplished. Data analysis was performed by Pearson correlation test and stepwise regression using SPSS software version 25. Findings indicated that there was the highest correlation between the control component (r = -0.527) and the lowest correlation between emotion expression (r = 0.007). They also explain the components of control, rumination, and feelings of shame and guilt in 17% of the variance of nomophobia. In general, it can be said that deep psychological characteristics such as schemas and emotions can be effective in aggravating or relieving the symptoms of nomophobia.
