Abstract :

The influence of religion and its manifestations on the preservation and survival of the social system and its role in strengthening the solidarity among members of the community has led many social scientists, and in particular sociologists, to put it as the core of their studies.The purpose of this study is to identify the role of religious indulgence in the religious attitude of high school students in Kermanshah province with emphasis on prayer. This study was carried out using a descriptive survey type and a questionnaire was used to collect the data. The face validity method was used by experts and its reliability was measured using Cronbach''s alpha. The statistical population of all students of Kermanshah high schools in the academic year of 90-91 was 181796 people. The data were extracted from questionnaires completed by 400 students based in Kermanshah and based on the analysis of the findings of this study. Data analysis was done by descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results of multiple regression show that religious leanings alone account for 44% of variations in student''s religious tendencies.
