Expression of the Relationship between Extremism Individualism and Social cohesion in Citizens

Abstract :
Individualism is a modern concept that is placed against the collectivism of the traditional society. Individual society considers incompatibility with the community as a value and emphasizes individual flourishing and rethinking in social norms and norms.Also, according to the concept of social cohesion generally used in sociology, this concept refers to the degree or type of convergence of a society and, in fact, refers to links and relationships that link members of a community or group to one another. Therefore, according to these concepts, the aim of the research is to explain the relationship between extreme individualism and social cohesion in Tehran's citizens. The statistical population of this research includes 18-65 year olds in Tehran. Their number is 5876659 people in 2011 according to the general population and housing censusAmong the regions with a sample size of at least 384 people, 400 people in total and each region filled out 80 questionnaires by random method. The results of the research indicate that there is a relatively weak correlation between extreme individualism and social solidarity, and the relationship is also negative and inverse. The amount of adjusted adjustment coefficient indicates that the independent variable of extreme individualism can explain 1.9% of the variation of the dependent variable of social correlation.
