Abstract :
In this study, the value system governing female high school students and their mothers in Buchan County has been assessed and compared. The main research method was survey and the data collection tool was a questionnaire. Two samples of 180 students and 180 of their mothers were selected by multi-stage systematic random sampling. The face validity of the questionnaire was confirmed by experts and its reliability was confirmed by Cronbach's alpha coefficient. The results show that there is no difference between the two groups of female students and their mothers in material and extra-material values, values related to education and science and family. However, there is a significant difference between the two groups in the values of collectivism, individualism, religion and tradition. That is, the tendency towards individualism and escape from religious and traditional values is stronger among schoolgirls. While there is interaction and sharing between female students and their mothers in the area of modern values, the results in the area of traditional values show a rift.
