Abstract :
In order to effect of planting date and determination the most suitable variety of spring safflower an experiment were executed during 2011-2012 as split plot experiment based on Randomized Complete Block Design with four replications. Treatments were included planting dates as main factor in four levels (February 27, March 19 in 2011, April 9 and 29 in 2012) and variety type in three levels (Padide, Isfahan 14 and Sina). Results showed that the highest yield (1652.4 g.m-2) was obtained in February 27 and the lowest yield (1299.9 g.m-2) was obtained in April 29. The highest yield (496.2 g.m-2) related to Padideh and Sina cultivars and the lowest one (393.1 g.m-2) belonged to Isfahan14 cultivar. Interaction between planting date and cultivar was significant. The highest yield (562, 558.1, 544 and 540.3 g.m-2 ) related to February27 with Sina, February 27 with Padideh, , March 19 with Sina and March19 with Padideh cultivar and the lowest one was 348.4 g.m-2 related to March19 with Isfahan14. The highest oil percentage (33.8) obtained in February27 and the lowest in April29. Generally, Padideh and Sina cultivars in February27 and Mrch19 were appropriate in Yasooj region.
