Abstract :

Abstract   Background of the study shows that, so far, limited models have been proposed for designing the research productivity, such as examining the quality and measurement the research productivity in higher education institutions. The purpose of this study was to design a model to identification the factors affecting research productivity. The statistical population of this research was faculty members of physical education and sport sciences department of Iranian Islamic Azad University in 2016-2017 years (N= 831). In first phase 150 people and the final phase 300 people were selected by cluster sampling method. The proposed model was designed based on theoretical foundations and research background and earning opinions from experts in a qualitative research. In quantitative phase the calculation of fit indices throw version 23 of AMOS software showed that the proposed model of research in the original sample has perfect fitness with the basis of the model. Therefore, based on the research findings, it can be suggested that managers and authorities of universities, especially Islamic Azad University in order to increase and improve research productivity of their faculty members can use these three  affecting factors when planning the programs.
