Development, validation and reliability of the responsibility scale of the faculty members of Farhangian University

Abstract :
Given the importance of responsibility in the work and social life of educational staff, it seems necessary to provide and validate a native tool to measure responsibility in the teaching staff. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to construct and standardize a scale to assess the responsibility of faculty members of Farhangian University. This applied research study was of a test –making kind. To this end, a sample of 210 faculty staff members of Farhangian University in the northwest of the country were selected using proportional stratified sampling. The present research tool was a researcher-made questionnaire. To analyze the data, besides descriptive methods, Cronbach's alpha and test- retest methods were used to measure the reliability and factor analysis, content validity, convergent methods, and SPSS-V22 and Lisrel-V8.8 software were used to evaluate the validity of the questionnaire. Based on the results of heuristic factor analysis, using orthogonal rotation (Varimax), organizational culture (0.80), emotional intelligence (0.78), moral intelligence (0.73), leadership (0.71), organizational commitment (0.60) ), job affiliation (0.60) and evaluation (0.50) were identified as the components of responsibility of Farhangian University faculty members. Overall, the results revealed that this scale enjoys a good reliability and validity in measuring the responsibility of faculty members.
