Abstract :
The main objective of this study was Investigating the use of virtual social networks and couples' commitment and intimacy. In this study, theoretical framework is based on the theories of Bauman and Giddens.This study is kind of causual explanation and survey method. The population of all married men and women living in the 8th Tehran that with District random (potential) cluster sampling method and according to Cochran formula is selected 300 spouses. The questionnaire commitment is intimacy Brooke and Bertman (1995). In this study, data analysis was performed by Pearson correlation coefficient and Regression. Research results show that 96% of couples use virtual social networks. The results indicate that there is not a meaningful relationship between the using virtual social networks and couples' commitment. While there is a negative and significant relationship between the using virtual social networks and couples' intimacy. Also the results show that there is a negative and significant relationship between the using virtual social networks and adherence to the commitments, love and affection of couples. While, there is not significant relationship between the using virtual social networks and Couple agreement and couples honesty.
