Abstract :

Nowadays, the issue of local communities and their way of organizing has become an important place in urban sociology and, consequently, urban planning and urban management, which is referred to as "baseline planning", whose initial idea is based on local communities, popular participation and planning It is formed by people, not for people. One of the foundations of this social perspective, which is considered as the new development concept, is social capital, which through the interconnection of individuals leads to the cultural development of society.    main idea of ​​this thesis is to investigate the role of social capital in sustainable management of urban neighborhoods. The study area, Tehranpars, Vahidieh, Narmak and Majidieh districts have been selected in the municipality of Tehran 8th district. Sample size According to Cochran's formula, 321 people were randomly selected and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics and using spss software for data analysis. Based on library studies, indicators and research components were developed in six indicators of social trust, social participation, social cohesion, social network index, efficiency index and justice index.
