Abstract :
Fuel stations are always considered as one of the most sensitive and effective urban uses. Therefore, the placement of this use among other uses in the city is of great importance and the incorrect placement of this use can cause disruptions in the access to environmental health and neighboring uses in addition to having a negative impact on the urban environment. As a result, the correct location of fuel stations in the city can bring acceptable results in the mentioned fields. In this research, the fuel stations of Semnan city have been studied and investigated by field sampling method and using GIS software. The purpose of this research is to identify the problems of the neighborhood of fuel stations and discuss the accessibility of these stations in the city of Semnan and to present the existing solutions in order to improve these problems. The results of the field investigations show that 20% of the stations in Semnan city are not in a good condition in terms of indicators such as standards, equipment safety, and most importantly, proximity to other uses. By comparing the rules and standards with the map of the current status of fuel stations in the city, it was found that a number of stations are not located in suitable areas for establishment.
