Abstract :
This study investigated factors affecting participation of rural development group's members in extension-conservation activities in International Carbon Sequestration Project in Hossein Abad Ghynab Plain in Sarbisheh township of Khorasan province. Data were obtained from124 questionnaires which were completed by rural development group's members. Results showed that most important factors affecting participation in extension- conservation activities were marital status, settlement, age, number of household members, annual household income and land ownership. In other words, probability of participation in the activities would increase with increasing annual household's income, number of household members and permanent residency in the district, while increase in age, household owned land would decrease probability of participation in the activities. Finally, some recommendations were made to improve group's performance
