Abstract :
Introduction and Purpose: Practical assessments are vital tools within technical and vocational organizations used to evaluate and measure the skills and technical knowledge of employees and volunteers. These assessments serve as one of the most important assessment tools, providing standard and scientific criteria for assessing occupational competencies. They are recognized by technical and vocational organizations as effective instruments in the human resource recruitment process, employee development, and improving the quality of services. The objective of this research is to design and develop a model for the evaluation of practical examinations within technical and vocational organizations..
Research Methodology: This research was conducted within a qualitative framework. The research domain included experts, specialists, and instructors with experience in technical and vocational practical examinations and possessed sufficient skills for assessing these examinations. Purposeful sampling was used to determine the sample size. The primary research instrument consisted of semi-structured interviews. After conducting 15 interviews, theoretical saturation was achieved. Data extracted from semi-structured interviews were analyzed through open coding, axial coding, and the identification of main and sub-themes.
Findings: In this research, five main themes were identified, which included the financial and budgeting dimension, the managerial dimension, the infrastructural dimension, the design and structure dimension, and the assessment dimension.
Discussion and Conclusion: This research has resulted in the development of a model for evaluating practical examinations within technical and vocational organizations. Implementing this model can lead to improved quality and efficiency in practical examinations conducted by technical and vocational organizations.
