Abstract :
This study aimed to evaluate the efficiency of the in-service trainings in improving the knowledge, skill and attitude of the managers, faculty members and staffs of Islamic Azad University (IAU) branches in the first region. This survey study sampled 215 mangers, full-time faculty members and staffs from a population of 4843 persons employing stage cluster sampling strategy. Data was collected using both library sources and a questionnaire. The data accrued from the questionnaire was analyzed through the use of SPSS. The results of the study indicated that in-service training had similar impact on all three groups with different means in terms of knowledge, skill and attitude. Likewise, no significant difference was found among these groups in achieving efficiency as indicated by ANOVA. Nor was there any difference concerning the effect of knowledge, skills and attitude on their efficiency. Similarly, there was no significant difference among fields of study and work experience in terms of knowledge, skill and attitude. However, a significant difference was indicated as regards skill but not knowledge and behavior between men and women.
