Investigating the relationship between positivity and meaning in the lives of cancer patients in Miandoab city.

Abstract :
The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between positivity and meaning in the lives of cancer patients in Miandoab city. The present research method is fundamental in terms of purpose and descriptive in terms of method of correlation. The statistical population of the present study is all cancer patients referred to Fatemeh Zahra Hospital in Miandoab city in the first quarter of 1403, of which 180 people were selected based on the Cochran formula and through the available sampling method. To collect information, the Meaning in Life Questionnaire (MLQ) by Stagger et al. (2006) and the Positivity Questionnaire (Ingram and Wisnicki, 2015) were used. To analyze the information, the correlation coefficient test and multiple regression in SPSS21 software were used. The results showed that there is a significant relationship between the components of positivity and meaning in the lives of cancer patients in Miandoab city. Also, the components of positivity have a predictive role in the meaning in the lives of cancer patients in Miandoab city.
