Comparison of the Effectiveness of Waiting-Oriented Training Package Based on Mahdism Doctrine and Iranian-Islamic Positive Psychology Training on Psychological Well-Being of Girl Students

Abstract :
The present study aims to compare waiting-oriented package based on Mahdism Doctrine and Iranian-Islamic Positive Psychology Training on psychological wellbeing of secondary high school students. The present study was quasi-experimental with pretest, posttest design with control group and two-month follow-up stage. The statistical population of the present study was 45 secondary high school female students in the city of Isfahan in academic year 2019-20. 45 secondary high school students were selected through non-random purposive sampling method and they were randomly accommodated into experimental and control groups (15 person in each group). The experimental group received waiting-oriented training (12 sessions) and Iranian-Islamic positivist teaching (11 sessions) during three months separately. The questionnaires included the scale of practical commitment to Islamic beliefs (Navidi, 1998) and psychological wellbeing questionnaire (Ryff, 1989).The data from the study were analyzed through repeated measure ANOVA test via SPSS23 software. The results showed that the waiting-oriented psychological package based on the doctrine of Mahdism has an effect on psychological well-being. Iranian-Islamic positive education also has an effect on psychological well-being (p<0.0001).
