Abstract :
In today's digital era, literacy extends beyond mere technical skills; it is increasingly recognized as a crucial factor for students' ability to navigate information and scientific advancements. The objective of the present research is to identify the components that constitute digital literacy among students. This study employs an applied research method in terms of purpose, qualitative data in terms of type, and an emergent approach regarding the nature of the data examined. The study population includes experts in educational sciences, counseling, and psychology, while the target population consists of students. To determine the sample size based on theoretical saturation, a criterion of 12 individuals was selected through purposeful sampling. Data collection methods involved both library and field research, utilizing a researcher-developed interview form informed by national and global studies as well as interviews with field experts. Validity and reliability were established through a three-way consensus approach. Furthermore, the data coding methodology was based on Bonnie Glaser's (1992) framework, incorporating open and axial coding. The resulting data were compiled into a structured format and sent to experts for selective coding and validation. For data analysis, MAXQDA software (2020) was employed. The findings revealed eight key components of digital literacy among students: digital technical skills, digital security, information management, digital culture, education, critical and creative thinking, digital communication, and problem-solving abilities.
