Abstract :
Media is one of the most significant factors affecting the formation of cultural capital .Medias nowadays have funded a modern pedagogical system in such a way that human societies receive their ideas and believes through it .It is also effective in their life style and behavior .Media literacy is very important to reduce and prevent the negative effects of medias .This study was aimed at evaluating the effectiveness of media literacy on the cultural capital of the learners of Isfahan quranic cultural institutions . To investigate this, media literacy EC model and Bourdieo theory on cultural capital were used and it was localized by using islamic and Iranian culture.This study was coducted by population size of 480 learners of Isfahan quranic cultural institutions.213 of these learners in different age groups and education level were chosen as a sample by using Kukran formula.This study was fulfilled by surveying method and data gathering was through questionnaire. The results indicated that media literacy with the components of accessing media, using media, media content production and critical thinking from media affects cultural capital of the learners of Isfahan quranic cultural institutions .
