The Effects of Educational Movies on Changing the Attitudes of High School Students in Damavand toward Drug Abuse

Abstract :
In the perspective of children and adolescents, the pianos show more attention to films that are different from the image of their everyday life and make them strange. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of educational films on changing attitude of high school students in Damavand city toward drug abuse. The sample of this study was a sample of 80 high school students who were pre-tested using the form A of Attitude Survey on addiction. Subjects were randomly assigned to two groups of 40, including control and experimental groups. 40 subjects who scored higher in the pre-test (ie, more positive attitude toward drug use) in the experimental group and the rest of the students were 40 Were randomly selected and replaced as control group, and then showed to the experimental group for 1 month of educational films, but no variables were applied to the control group. At the end, both groups were subjected to post-test using the Attitude Measurement Scale. The research hypotheses were analyzed by covariance analysis and t-test. The findings of this study indicate that there is a significant difference between students' attitude towards substance abuse (in terms of recognition, affection and behavior) and addiction before and after showing educational films. In other words, the attitude toward substance abuse is changing with the showing of educational films for girls. Statistical analysis showed that educational films were effective in changing students' attitude toward substance abuse.
