An Analytical Approach to Urban Heterogeneous Spots in Tehran Fabric

One of the main problems in Tehran metropolitan which unfortunately has not been properly paid attention to, is the urban heterogeneous spots. In other words, the subject which is going to be discussed in this article, is the problems arisen from immediate neighborhood of two heterogeneous fabrics. In this article it has been tried to address Schizophrenia existed in the face of Tehran, due to economic and social problems by itself, at first, and then to explain the various aspects of discussion from urban renewal viewpoint, as far as possible. The urban renewal challenges would be also finally discussed as an entry for thinking and finding solution to begin planning for coming out for crisis, in these areas of city of Tehran, otherwise we will witness very nufavorable social, Cultural, environmental and political consequences in near future. What is today called as the problems of Tehran metropolitan, unfortunately has root in the policies of urban planning, in our country since not far past up to now. Immigration from all population centers to Tehran, irregular growth of urban population uncoordinated with urban infrastructure development, environmental pollution and low quality of living spaces, erosion of self-growing fabric in most areas which due to not having the minmum construction standards and service and urban per capita, have been made in very short time and as infected organ, corrupted its adjacent ones These are some samples of problems that city of Tehran is confronted with. These cases caused that the greatest growth pole of the country to lose its capability to attract the possibilities and parameters required for efficient development, and due to heavy pressure imposed by other towns and villages, this city is now suffering and confronted with a serious problem which only by injection of extra budgets and allocating additional funds as calmatives, it may be temporarily reduced. Considering that treatment approach is preferred to the prevention one in our country, and despite that most of the aforesaid cases have been exactly investigated by the urban renewal experts, Tehran metropolitan is still being expanded as rapidly as before because no serious efforts are made to find the root cause of the problem.
