Abstract :
INTRODUCTION AND OBJECTIVES: globalization in general and globalization of culture in particular have posed one of the most heated debates in the field of humanities, hence informing the present study with developing an academic understanding of the phenomenon and the way this wields impacts on processes such as identification and opting out of reference groups and role models by students as young and educated cohort of the society in their mutual interaction with surrounding world, as a fundamental objective.METHODOLOGY: this study is a descriptive survey a The population of this study Azad University, Science and Research Branch, Tehran (4467) in the year were 92, The sample size of 380 patients using a sample size table " Krejcie-Morgan " and was selected by cluster sampling method. To assess the validity and reliability of Cronbach's alpha of nominal value equal to ./768 Is used. The required data were collected using a questionnaire technique. To analyze the data, the software SPSS and the occurrence of Kolmogorov-Smirnov (to check-normally distributed variables), descriptive and inferential statistics (Pearson correlation and regression) to test the hypothesis were used. RESULTS AND FINDINGS: the findings of the study confirmed the hypothesis made in the study. There was a significant relationship between cultural implications of globalization – the process of identification, opting out of reference groups, and role models – and students’ cultural models of conduct. This indicated that students were more inclined to supranational cultural elements reproduced by globalization.
