Abstract :
Introduction and Purpose: One of the best ways for that is implementation Knowledge. Ardichvili explain that KM is one key solution to make a permanent competitive advantage for organizations. But there are some barriers for the companies to implement knowledge management. According to view of the Somme researchers like Saeed, Rayan, Simon and etc, one of the most important barriers to implement knowledge management is Cultural Barriers. In this article, we consider some cultural barrier in one of the organization that the manager's wanted implement knowledge management. Method: After studying and comparing the European standards and to identify cultural barriers to implementing knowledge management, a questionnaire was prepared for data collection. Using random sampling, 195 subjects were selected from among the workers of Iran Khodro Company, and data were collected. Using the Spearman test for correlation between variables was examined with the Friedman test was used to rank cultural barriers. Results: With Friedman's test, the most important barrier is inappropriate reward system. And then the other obstacles categorized the failure in experience transfer , the fear of losing face , lack of mutual trust , the differences between the declarations and the actions of the managers and finally the syndrome ‘it has not been invented here' were categorized. With regression s' test, the difference between the declarations and the actions of the managers is first obstacles to implement knowledge management in IKCO. Conclusions: According to the results, we understand the cultural barriers to implement knowledge management in the company were existing in the period of this research winter of 1389. So the top manager and the employees must attend to concept of knowledge management with using the appropriate guide, training and etc,. Based on the ranking of the barriers, the top manager must also focus on the most important of them, reward systems and the difference between the declaration and the Acton of the managers and the others in order. They could prepare a good plan with views of the experts and the professors from universities to remove and decrease the effect of these barriers.
