Abstract :
The effects of drought are divided into three categories: economic, social and environmental, which can be effective in creating sustainable agricultural development. With the aim of modeling the economic effects of drought on the sustainable development of agriculture in Hamadan province, a descriptive-analytical research was conducted through a questionnaire along with the researcher's observations from a statistical population of 115,160 people. The collected data were analyzed through inferential statistics. According to the results, among the economic dimensions of drought, the average of production stagnation and the weakening of agriculture were higher than the average of the livelihood crisis, and among the dimensions of the livelihood crisis, the highest average (3.64) was related to the dimensions of income reduction, weakening of the economic base, and reduction of investment. It was observed and the lowest average was dedicated to the reduction of employment and agricultural and non-agricultural job opportunities. Among the dimensions of production stagnation and weakening of agriculture, the highest and lowest averages with values of 3.57 and 3.53 were assigned to the dimension of crop yield reduction and diversity reduction. Also, the economic dimensions of drought indirectly had a significant impact on poverty and wealth dispersion, the variety of activities to perform and access to institutions, and on the social dimensions of sustainable agricultural development.
