Abstract :
Pictorial paradox is an art that the contemporary poet uses to highlight the contradiction between two opposite sides. There is a kind of contradiction between them. Figurative irony is one of the poetic elements in Arabic and Persian literature. which Abu al-Qasim Halat and Bushra al-Bustani employed as an artistic element to highlight their thoughts and emotions, and through them they described popular society, political repression, and colonialism; This poetic mechanism leads to popular awakening and urges to confront the colonialists. Bushra Al-Bustani, an Iraqi poet and critic (1949 AD); Abul-Qasim Halat, poet, writer and translator in 1289 A.D. Both are contemporary poets who come up with sarcastic verses between their poems. There is no doubt that the two poets Abu al-Qasim Halat and Bushra al-Bustani were influenced by the literature of paradox, and for this reason we find that there are many common denominators between the two literatures in Iran and Iraq. We see that the paradox led to the emergence of commonalities between the nationalistic tendencies of the two poets, the method of expressing them, and the common contents of their productions; The revolutionary spirit committed to oppression and colonialism, which you see in their poems, is evident. The most important results of this study: the manifestation of patriotism, anti-colonial movements, freedom and justice in their poetry. And the approach that we adopted in this article is descriptive and analytical.
