Abstract :
AbstractBlood group antigens are on surface of red blood cells, they are including several class that the most important antigens are ABO. the base of this bloob group is expression or lack of expression A & B antigens. Some people have type A or B antigen and some have both A and B antigens, but some do not have any of these antigens therefore they known as O blood group. The results of several studies are indicate there are important relationship between blood groups and some diseases, including cancer. The purpose of this paper is review a number of recent studies on the relationship between blood group antigens with different types of cancer. For example, O blood group can reduce the risk of cancer of the stomach, colon and pancreas, but can decrease resistance to skin and bladder cancer and A blood group can increase the risk of breast cancer.
