Abstract :
This research was done with the aim of determining the comparison of the social capital of male and female students who are athletes and non-athletes, using the correlation-survey method and applied research. The statistical population of the research was the students of Research Sciences Units, Hazrat Rasool Akram (PBUH) Complex, Central and South Tehran, Islamic Azad University in the academic year of 2017-2018, which was used for sampling among 135,405 people using the limited population sampling method and through the Cochran formula. The number of samples was determined to be 681 people, after removing the outliers and unanswered answers, 666 answers were examined. The data collection tool was the researcher-made social capital questionnaire, the reliability of which was obtained using the Cronbach's alpha test method of 0.886. Descriptive tests and independent t-statistics and one-way analysis of variance using spss 25 software were used to check the data. The results showed; There is a statistically significant difference between the social capital and its dimensions in male and female athletes and non-athletes’ students of the four units of Islamic Azad University of Tehran. The difference in social capital between bachelor's and master's and doctoral students was significant, but this difference was not observed among master's and doctoral students.
