The ratio of literary style and scientific style in the contemporary vertical poem (An study of samples from the poetry of Jassim Al-Sahih and Aref Al-Saedi based on the Bozeman equation)

Abstract :
Formal criticism emerged as one of the directions that focused on analyzing the language of literary work. It devoted his attention to studying issues related to the language of literature in general and poetry in particular. Statistical stylistics is one of the most important critical and scientific schools that study texts through statistics. By treating literary works with mathematical equations, and analyzing them according to theories, they reach more accurate results than the literary style. The current research attempts to read the literary contemporary vertical poem through statistical stylistics and reveal its influence on contemporary issues. To find out the level of literary texts and the factors associated with them, the researchers relied on the descriptive analytical-statistical approach, taking the Bozeman equation in knowing the ratio of verbs to adjectives as a guide in order to reach the goal of the research. And after two poets were selected from the great poets of the vertical poem in the contemporary era, namely Jassim Al-Sahih from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Aref Al-Saadi from Iraq. The choice fell off about 50 verses for each. After extracting 600 words from the words of each poet, the researchers concluded that the sample of Al-Sahih enjoys about (85%) of the literary style, and the sample of Al-Saadi has slightly less emotional than Al-Sahih, which is (82%). The two samples are of eloquent poetry. and the purpose of Al-Sahih's spinning made his poetry move forward with relative excitement over the poetry of Al-Saadi.
