Abstract :
Along with the rapid changes of sciences, contemporary socities are greatly changing and developing. Meanwhile, no scientific field has changed as much as experimental sciences. To understand how successful it has been the educational system in fulfilling these changes , the outcome of these changes,i.e. new curriculum should be evaluated which should be efficient , precise and scholarly. Here a question is raised and that is “How can the curriculum be evaluated? The main aim of this research is to answer this question concerning the course of chemistry in Iran high schools. Hence, the present paper studies and analyzes the current evolutional models. The result suggest that there ara some deficiencies in these models. Accordingly, the present research tries to offer a more efficient model appropriate for Iran's native culture. This evolutionary model is called criterion- oriented model by which the intrinsic value of chemistry course in Iran high schools can be judged and evaluated.
