Abstract :
Along with other story elements such as space-making, narrator, plot, character, etc., the tone is one of the most important and artistic ways to strike a relationship between the story and its audience. Inasmuch as this element speaks of the specific atmosphere and behavioral aspects on the basis of which the text should be read and comprehended, it is so important that not knowing it well may mislead the audience in understanding the text and forming relations between different components of the story and make the correct understanding of the text and its ideas difficult. But what is the tone? What are the types? How important is this element? How much can it influence the enjoyment from a work? The present article studies the 24 tones in Chaharmaghaleh in order to see whether there can be a proportion between the number and the types of tones in every chapter of the book.
