First report of Monoctonia pistaciaecola (Hymenoptera: Braconidae) from Iran

Abstract :

In order to identify the fauna of Braconidae in the central region of Fars province, Iran, some samples were collected by different collecting methods. Amongst the identified specimens, Monoctonia pistaciaecola Starý, 1962 from subfamily Aphidiinae was recorded for the first time from Iran. This species was collected by sweeping net in wheat field in Kian Abad (South of Shiraz) in April 2006.
