Examining The Causal Relationship of Marital Conflicts Based On the Components of Forgiveness in Women Seeking Divorce

Abstract :
The study intended to examine the causal relationship of marital conflicts based on the components of forgiveness in women seeking divorce. The statistical population included all women who referred to judicial centers in Tehran in 1998-99. The research sample subsumed 257 females who were selected by convenient sampling method. The research design was a correlation with structural equation type. In order to collect data, the Marital Conflict Questionnaire (MCQ) of Zakir and Barati, (2008) (1387) and the Forgiveness Questionnaire (IFI) of Ehteshamzadeh et al. (2009) (1388) were used. The data analysis method was based on the structural equation procedure. The results showed; The components of forgiveness (reconnect and control, control resentment and realistic perception) had a significant direct relationship with marital conflicts and the model had an optimum goodness of fit.
