Abstract :
The purpose of the present study was to investigate the relationship between personality characteristics and social-physical anxiety with therapeutic daily dietary intake in female students of Ahvaz Islamic Azad University. The sample included 200 female students that were selected via stratified random sampling from the female students enrolled for 1388-89 academic year. The Revised NEO Personality Inventory (NEO-PI-R), Social-Physical Anxiety Scale (SPAS) and Cognitive-behavior Dietary Scale (CBDS) were implemented as data sources. The research was a correlation study. Finding suggested that there was a significant correlation between personality characteristics and social-physical anxiety with cognitive- behavior dietary intake. The regression analysis of data also indicated the agreeableness and social-physical anxiety significantly predicted the therapeutic dietary intake.
