Abstract :

The purpose of this study was to investigate the causes of domestic violence against women in the city of Tehran 300 subjects were selected by cluster sampling. A survey research design was documented. To collect data questionnaires and interviews were implemented. Results showed a statistically significant correlation between the reduction of power, economic and social base, patriarchal, traditionalism, patriarchal ideology, place of birth, division of roles and learning patterns of violence with violence against women.
