Investigating the spiritual intelligence of student teachers in order to achieve transcendent education

Abstract :

The main purpose of this study was to investigate the level of spiritual intelligence of student teachers of Farhangian University of Shiraz to achieve transcendent education. This research is considered as a quantitative research in terms of nature and applied research in terms of purpose. The research method was field survey and the statistical population of the study included students of Shiraz Farhangian University in the academic year of 2019-2020, amongst which 310 people were selected using Cochran's formula by stratified random sampling method. Data were collected using the King Spiritual Intelligence Scale. The validity of the questionnaire was confirmed by experts and the questionnaire had a reliability of 0.87 which was done through Cronbach's alpha. The research data were analyzed using SPSS21 software with one-sample t-test and independent t-test. Students are in a relatively high position in terms of spiritual intelligence and its components (except for the expansion of the state of consciousness), but they are far from the desired level of adequacy. Meanwhile, there is a significant difference between the spiritual intelligence of male and female students.
