The relationship between parent - child conflict and family emotional conditions with academic performance in the first period high school students Karun City

Abstract :
The aim of this research was to investigate the relationship between parent - child conflict and family emotional conditions with academic performance. The statistical community was all the first period high school students Karun City which 170 of them were selected through multistage random sampling method. All participants were to complete parent - child conflict questionnaire and family emotional conditions questionnaire and data were analyzed using Pearson's correlation coefficient and multivariate regression. The Results showed that there are a significant negative correlation between parent - child conflict with academic performance (r=-0/14, p<0/05), but there is no significant relationship between family emotional conditions and academic performance (r=0/09, p>0/05). Also the results of the simultaneous enter regression analysis showed that there are no significant multiple relationship between independent variables and academic performance.
