Abstract :
Introduction: The purpose of Demonstrating Communication Skills in Shy Students and Social Anxiety. Method: This study was a quasi-experimental study using a pretest-posttest design with a control group. The statistical population of the study consisted of fifth and sixth grade students with shyness in 1999-98. 24 students were selected by convenience sampling method and were randomly assigned to experimental and control groups. Participants responded to shyness and social anxiety questionnaires in pre-test and post-test stages. The intervention group received the demonstration-based communication skills training in 9 sessions of 1 hour and 2 sessions per week, while the control group did not receive any intervention during the study period.
