The relationship between body image concern, early maladaptive schemas and alexithymia with social anxiety among female students of Islamic Azad university

Abstract :
This study took place with aimed to determine the relationship between body image concern, and mood disorder with social anxiety in female students of Islamic Azad University . Method of This study was descriptive and correlational. The study population was female students of Islamic Azad University of Dezful in semester 1394-1395. Of these, 351 were randomly,multistage selected among female students . To collect data from social anxiety questionnaire( SPAIN) and Multidimensional - body Relationship Questionnaire (MBSRQ) and Young schema questionnaire and mood disorder (FTAS-20) was used. Data analysis was performed using Pearson correlation and regression analysis. The findings showed that between body image concern, early maladaptive schemas and mood disorder, social anxiety there was a significant positive correlation. Multiple regression analysis showed that body image concern, early maladaptive schemas and mood disorder, social anxiety have significant predictive power( p <0.01).
