Abstract :

In this paper the Wednesday story from Nezami’s Haft Peikar has been analysed based on the Gilbert Durand theory.     The analysis of mentioned story, have lead to extending the Gilbert Durand theory to a more comprehensive framework as such scientific theories have dynamic and extendable characteristics. According to the Gilbert Durand’s patern, sometimes the main course of text is about the daytime imagination and sometimes it is about the nighttime imagination and sometimes alters between both of them. From Durand’s point of view, in the ideal situation both clusters must be in the text. But in this story we encounter an interesting and prominent situation and that is when nighttime cluster turns into daytime cluster. It seems that Durand has not encountered such situation, because in his categorization we cannot find such a category of transforming one cluster to another.
