Abstract :
The purpose of this study was to identify the antecedents of motor (physical) literacy in Iranian society. Based on the paradigm perspective, the present research has been interpretive research, qualitative approach, grounded theory strategy and hidden content analysis tactics. The method of data collection in the research was in the form of in-depth interviews with 18 experienced experts including academic professors and experimental experts in the field of physical literacy and health. The sampling method was non-random and purposeful, and the interviews proceeded until a theoretical saturation of the research questions and objectives was obtained. The information obtained through interviews was in the form of audio and text and their analysis was done through MAXQDA 18 software. The researcher has extracted the concepts after the open coding process of the interviews. Then, through axial coding, he categorized the enumerated concepts into different categories and finally, through selective coding, designed a model consisting of antecedents and factors affecting the physical or motor literacy of citizens in Iranian society. The findings of this study showed that physical literacy (motor) is significantly affected by three factors: interpersonal, interpersonal or communication and social. Which themselves include several categories. By comparing the findings of this study and other studies, it can be inferred that the creation and development of physical (motor) literacy can be achieved through the implementation of a multi-stage process that begins with interpersonal communication, one passes and eventually leads to social communication.
